Alumni Notes Wendy (middle) at Burchfield Penney's "Welcoming Spaces" Exhibition, with Burchfield curator Tiffany Gaines, and fellow artist William C. Maggio, in front of her pastel piece "Falling Into Place" 1978 Classmates (L-R) James Pacciotti, Rick Hopkins, Bill Heussler and Spencer Patterson reunited in Jacksonville to enjoy the Bills’ playoff victory over the Jaguars. 1958 Guy Gunzberg: "My wife Joan and I have relocated a few blocks from our Evanston, Illinois home of 40+ years to The Mather, a marvelous senior community where I’m involved on a couple committees and study groups, even one dedicated to understanding the strange world of quantum mechanics! I also assist with tutoring a group of high-school students who come weekly for homework help, and have reintroduced myself to my piano after many years of a hands-off relationship. "My continued connection to our remarkable alma mater through my work on the Board of Trustees continues to be rewarding." 1961 Scott Moss: "I now live with my wife, Linda, in Provence in the south of France. We still keep our house in England where I lived from 1966 until moving to France full-time about three years ago. I was a university research professor in Manchester, England, until my retirement in 2009, though I carried on with research with colleagues from across Europe for a few years after that. My hobbies over the years included sailing the Irish sea and more widely in the North Atlantic, brewing beer, backpacking, and photography." 1975 Wendy Caldwell Maloney: "My art journey (which began at Park!) continues - I was one of 10 artists selected for the Burchfield Penney Art Center's 'Welcoming Spaces' exhibition in 2025, which placed original art in 10 nonprofit businesses in the community; had a successful Solo Exhibition at Meibohm Fine Arts Gallery in East Aurora in June and July; and have been invited to be one of the featured artists at the Burchfield Penney's 2026 Art Auction & Gala on June 13, 2026." 1948 Jack MacKenzie: Now retired to Lenox, Massachusetts, Jack visited campus in October to join our second annual Bills tailgate party, saw his two published books front and center in the Park Authors display in the library, and traded tales with current students of playing in Clement Gym, after the kids asked when it was built. 1999 Jamie Obletz: In October, Jamie was promoted by Delaware North to the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the company’s full global operations portfolio, which includes hundreds of high-profile locations across sports and entertainment venues, national and state parks, destination resorts and restaurants, airports and travel hubs, and gaming properties. 2002 Sara Schmitt: "The fintech company I co-founded was successfully acquired! Adro is now operating as Fancy, and continues to expand financial access for international students, workers, and entrepreneurs around the world. I’ve stayed on as COO to lead the integration of our products and services. Now dividing my time between Southern California and New York City, I’m always down to connect with fellow Park alumni, especially entrepreneurs, in the NYC or LA area!"
