H I J K L M N O Hamlin Hall: An institution of a building on Park’s campus! Originally the home of the Hamlin Family and the heart of their farmstead, the building, since 1920, has served as a home for many Park classes, offices for administrators, the nurse, Summer Camp staff, and even the library at one point in the 1940s. Honesty: One of our four core values. Immersion: A biannual, co-curricular Park program that engages students in a year-long study centered on a particular topic or geographical area. It culminates in a week-long trip or outing and provides students opportunities to learn and explore through firsthand experience. Offerings provide students with the chance to expand their knowledge in a particular discipline and may be large or small in scale ranging from on-campus experiences and local day trips, to stateside and international excursions. Past Immersions have traveled to Iceland, Washington DC, the Everglades, China, Italy, and the Great Smokey Mountains, among many other trips. Junior Class Pancake Breakfast: This fundraiser for the Junior class is held in the Dining Hall each year after our fall concert. The community is invited to enjoy delicious pancakes prepared by Park's Junior Class before departing for break. Kindness: One fourth of Park’s core values, all Park students learn about and demonstrate kindness, from our youngest friends in the PreK and Montessori programs to our seniors about to graduate. Park students and faculty are known for being kind to one another and everyone who visits the campus. Lower School Community Meeting: Each week, our entire Lower School gathers in the Theater for a community meeting. Students are recognized for following Park’s Core Values, classes present on different topics, and special guests help to celebrate and honor holidays and cultural events such as Lunar New Year and Hispanic Heritage Month. These gatherings help our youngest students to learn what it means to be a polite member of an audience. Middle School Moving Up Awards Ceremony: This endof-year event celebrates the successes of our Middle School students and highlights the academic accomplishments of our 8th graders as they embark on their Upper School careers. New Parent Reception: We welcome our new parents and guardians each year with a special welcome event, allowing them to get to know one another as well as Park’s administrators. Orange Team: The rival of the Brown Team in Park School Spirit activities. 21
