National Parks and will head down the eastern seaboard next week and travel across the south, returning home via California in December. He has spent these last few decades being an architect, writer, and teacher. 1991______________ Wayne Brown opened a new Behavioral Health Group Therapy Practice, Willow Grove Counseling in Cheektowaga, NY. When fully scaled up, the office will provide the community highest-quality mental health from nine therapists from diverse clinical disciplines, as well as group therapy services. 1996______________ Molly Gasbarrini Burrets, her husband Bryan Burrets, and their 5 year old son Romeo, welcomed their baby daughter Aurora to the family this September. Molly is a clinical psychologist with a practice specializing in couples therapy in Los Angeles, where she works with many high profile clients in the entertainment and tech industries. She also has a growing media presence and offers consulting on relationship building and wellbeing to executives at Fortune 500 companies. @drmollyburrets, www.drmollyburrets.com 1999______________ Brent Murchie writes, “I am currently a Gastroenterologist in Sarasota, FL. When I graduated Park School in 1999, I attended the University of Toronto, and obtained my Bachelor’s in Science. I obtained my Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in 2010. Following that I became a resident at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where I became the Chief Resident and Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician. Following this, I was accepted into the Cleveland Clinic Florida Gastroenterology Fellowship. I graduated from the program in 2016. At this point I moved to Sarasota and joined a single specialty GI group, where I currently practice. I am an Associate Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine. My hobbies include photography, and raising my four kids (William 7, Jack, 5, George 3, and Euphemia 1) with my amazing wife Heather.” 2002______________ Sara Schmitt joined Adro, a FinTech/EdTech startup based in NYC, as COO and co-founder in July 2023. Along with a Cornell MBA classmate, she is building a new product focused on helping international college students access US financial tools easily and equitably. She is excited to be back home on the East Coast and would love to meet up with Parkies in the NY/NJ area! 2004______________ Julia Burke settled down in Brooklyn this fall with her partner. She hopes any Parkies in the city will come visit her at Flatiron Wines in Manhattan, where she is now a wine buyer and manages the shop’s education and events programming. 2008______________ Jud Heussler, Director of Branding and Programming at Easy 102.9 radio station in Jacksonville, FL, accepted a Marconi Award for CHR Top 40 Station of the Year. This is one of the highest honors in radio, and his station beat out stations from NYC, Atlanta, and San Francisco. Congratulations! 2018______________ Tyonna Acoff is attending UB Law School. 2020_____________ Alec Rakas will graduate in May 2024 with a BFA in Film and Animation from Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Film and Animation. He's working on his capstone project - a short film he conceptualized and produced, including writing the story and script, animation, and the hiring of voice actors and musicians. Alec is planning on working in the film industry as a storyboard artist or animator, as well as doing independent commissioned work including overseas anime production. Jack Wille is a student at D'Youville University, pursuing a bachelor's in Biology and a master's degree in Anatomy & Physiology with an expected finish in 2025. Following these degrees, he plans on becoming either a physician assistant or a doctor of osteopathic medicine. Jack has been on the Dean's list every semester, and the President's list during his junior year, which requires a GPA of 3.9 - 4.0. For the past year and a half, he has worked as a teaching assistant for the human anatomy labs at D'Youville. Last year, he received the D'Youville Biology Award, which is given to a student hand-selected by the mathematics and biology department who shows strong academic prowess in the sciences, specifically biology. He has also developed an interest in the field of neurology, specifically diseases such as multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis, and has shadowed Dr. Peter Kinkel of the Kinkel Neurologic Center. Jack shares, "I'm still very connected to my class and am more appreciative than ever by how much Park fostered my learning, writing, and so much more." 2021______________ Zachary Wexler was named to the Dean's List at SUNY Cortland for the Spring 2023 semester. He is studying Sports Management. 32
