ALUMNI ASSOCIATION UPDATES Dear Fellow Alumni, For more than a century, Park has been committed to helping shape young people into good global citizens and problem-solvers, something the world needs more than ever these days. Alums like Kevin Eng ’01 (cancer research), Anne Robinson Wadsworth ‘77 (advocating for girls’ education in Africa) and many, many others. When I think of the holiday season, I think about doing good for others. I can’t help but think about how many Park Schoolers I know who embody just that and work constantly for the betterment of others - not just during the holiday season but year-round. So many Park alums work in fields or professions where they are helping others directly through their work. My own family of Park graduates included! My brother, Devin Lipsitz ‘02, is a Buffalo public school teacher, working specifically with those with developmental disabilities. My father, John Lipsitz ‘71, is an attorney fighting hard for his clients representing injured workers. My aunt, Nan Lipsitz Haynes ’73, is an attorney, a retired law school professor, and active in prison reform, and my uncle, Dick Lipsitz ’69, is the retired AFLCIO regional president and always in the fight for the unions he so proudly represents. There are so many remarkable alumni doing amazingly helpful work out there. Since 1912, Park has lived its founding mission as a school where children learn, grow, and flourish. Today we emphasize the critical issue of problemsolving in a world that seems on fire, literally and figuratively. We send out good global citizens, like my own family members, and so many other alumni! Tell me what you are doing to make this a better world.
